God restores!
He makes new the mind, the spirit, and the Heart.. His word says in
Ezekiel 16:53 But someday I will restore the fortunes of Sodom and Samaria and I will restore you too.
Or in Job 8:6 If you are pure and live with integrity he will surely rise up and restore your happy home.
God restores all things you mess up. What the enemy blows up on you God will give back. He will heal and make new. Nothing is too much, or too far gone, or too bad for God.
He called us to do something first!
It’s not payment, it’s not blood, it’s not words.
It is in fact an action. The action is to surrender.
To give it up to Him
To stop and be still
It’s just one choice you make from the innermost part of your being.
Sounds easy enough, but if it was easy, it wouldn’t be surrendering. Surrendering is hard, that’s why we struggle with it because our flesh wants what it wants.
You ever hear the saying and I’m sure we all have, that the heart wants what the heart wants. It’s true it does and until we surrender and allow God to change our hearts the flesh is the lead.
Let’s go over what surrender means….
Surrender means: to Agree, to stop fighting, hiding,resisting
Are you agreeing with God and coming under him?
Are you fighting God for control?
Are you hiding from truth ?
Are you resisting
obeying God?
When we come into agreement with God we are allowing him to make the plan and the road map for how we get to our destination.
Agreeing with God means we align ourselves fully with God and his Word. Our words and what we say, our thoughts and what we allow to flow through our mind freely, our actions and how we handle things good or bad, are we making choices that honor him?
It says in Job 22:21-23 Submit to God and you will have peace; then things will go well for you. Listen to his instructions and store them in your heart. If you return to the Almighty you will be restored so clean up your life..
When you fight God he’s not gonna battle with you but he will let you battle yourself. That means He will allow you to make a choice to go back and forth with yourself, make excuses and fall on your face if that’s the path you choose.
He’s there waiting for you to give up, throw the white flag and say ok. God, you can take over.
(It says in Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, But it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails . Give full control to God, he is the driver, you’re just a passenger, a silent one! So, none of that back seat driving, he knows where we are going..)
When you hide from the truth it doesn’t change His love for you but it will make you struggle with emotions of guilt and denial, living in a life full of sin which is what you are trying to shove deep down for whatever reason.
(John 8:32 you will know the truth and the truth will set you free/ Jesus promises that knowing the truth aka Gods word will free people from bondage of sin and lies)
Are you resisting to obey God? Are you trying to grip tightly to what he’s calling you to let go of? Everything you do from the moment you say “God I give my life to you” is just that, it’s His. His child with His money, His house, His car, a
temple that is given to you to live here in. Just as a parent cares for their child supplying all their needs so does our Heavenly Father.
Obeying is so important to him its better than a sacrifice. It says in 1 Samuel 15:22 He says what is more pleasing to the LORD your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice. Listen, Obedience is better than a sacrifice and submission is better than offering the fat of a ram.
Submission is often looked at as a bad thing but the meaning of submission: Is (willing). I like that word here because its not forced the way people take the word submission as.. If you are willing to do something which also means yielding to the guidance and giving up your own preferences.
Our preference most of the time isn’t good for us so being willing and obeying God takes the guessing game out of it. His intentions are always for our good and benefit. Just like your intentions are always for the good and benefit of your children..
When you are obedient to His word, following what the Bible says. When you actually let go of control and give God the wheel to your life, with no gripping it back. When you lay your burdens onto the ground before your God and you trust who He says you are and stop shoving things deep down to hide them or be shamed of your brokenness that’s when He can Restore.
He can clean house and make you new. Gosh how thankful I am God restores.. He has restored me, my family, and my marriage but I had to let go of the wheel and move over to the passenger seat. I have my days I wanna or even almost try to grab that wheel but then he reminds me of the weight that’s lifted when I just throw my hands up and roll.
God doesn’t pick up the pieces, he makes new ones and they are a perfect fit for every storm and trial you could possibly get yourself into and that the enemy could ever throw at you.
So today lay it at the feet of Jesus and pick up that cross and focus on carrying that instead of your earthly burdens.
Allow him to carry you along each day. Enjoy the freedom he paid for you. Embrace the life of royalty as a prince and princess of a Great and Mighty King who did everything to have a relationship with you and does everything to keep you safe and lead you to a life of peace and joy. Learn from his word and time with him so that you can share those very things with those who are lost so that they can have the goodness that you are living in because He Restored and now you Live Free….
